Taking care of your health

At the Good Samaritan Free Clinic, we believe that wellness is about much more than “not being sick.” That’s why, many of our members have a health and wellness assessment performed by our licensed physicians or nurse practitioners.

You can receive a comprehensive health and wellness assessment at the Clinic to determine if you have a particular disease. Even if you feel perfectly well, and are showing no signs and symptoms of disease, early detection of a health problem is very important. Early detection, followed by treatment and good control of the condition can result in better outcomes, and lowers your risk for serious complications.

During the assessment, we provide you with:

  • Time to discuss and ask questions about health concerns you may have with a dedicated medical professional

  • A complete review of your medicines and related instructions on how to take them as prescribed by your doctor

  • Information about other clinic services – such as our CHIP Program – that can help you stay healthy

  • A comprehensive health summary that is shared with your doctor to help supplement the ongoing care you already receive.

You can also receive a health evaluation at the Good Samaritan Free Clinic. At the Clinic we believe that great health begins with access to excellent resources and knowledge. At the end of your health evaluation, you will receive personalized, strictly confidential information that will help you:

  • Assess your current health status and identify those medical or lifestyle conditions that may lead to development of disease

  • Take action to reduce your level of risk, including making you aware of the many available services we offer.
